We have several training programs available depending on the needs of your dog and lifestyle. If you do not see a program listed that is suited for your dog, don't hesitate to call and discuss what type of training you need. Training sessions can always be custom tailored around the specific needs of you and your dog.  We train all breeds of dogs!!





We offer both basic and advanced obedience packages in either one-on-one sessions with you and your dog or in a board and train style program. If you just want to work on a few key issues, consider a behavior modification consultation in your home. Aggression issues are taken on a case by case basis and may incur additional fees. Sorry, we do not offer protection or bite training.


And finally, due to popular demand, Dobie Detectives Training Academy has added scent detection training for those looking for a fun activity for their K9s or interested in pursuing search and rescue. Our Scent Works seminars are unlike anything you'll find in the DFW area and are instructed by certified search dog handlers. All breeds can participate and no special training is necessary to get started. So, if your dog loves to use its nose, this is the class for you!!

So, where did the name “Dobie Detectives Training Academy” come from?  The company was named in honor of Shannon’s Dobermans who are search dogs.  These Dobie detectives help law enforcement agencies and families to find missing people.
