Group classes can be great for socialization but not necessarily the best place for dogs to learn. Many dogs are too distracted by the other dogs in class and have a hard time paying attention to the lessons the owner is trying to teach. Private lessons are a great way for dogs and owners to get the one on one attention they need from a trainer and help speed up the learning process. For socialization, owners simply need to take their dogs out to public places, dog parks, or set up a doggie play date with a neighbor or friend.
